Ford has finally introduced the Ford Maverick, a sub-model of the Ranger. The new model is shorter and lower than the Ranger. Ford designed it to offer comfort both in the city and off-road. The price of Maverick in the US will be very cheap. The car is a fuel miser. It offers hybrid support in the 2.0-liter engine option.
Interest in SUV and CUV models continues to increase. Some time ago, Ford ceased production of passenger cars in the US auto market. It added a new one to its pick-up product range. When you look at its design, you will say, “This is like a child of the Ranger and the F-150”. Ford Maverick impresses with its standard equipment and reasonable price.
The Maverick is a sub-model of the Ford Ranger. According to Ford’s statements, it has a compact style consisting of a mixture of cars and pickups. It has two engine options, 2.0 and 2.5 liters. In addition, Maverick breaks new ground by offering hybrid support in its 2.0-liter option.
Ford Maverick aims to be the most affordable hybrid model
The Ford Maverick’s biggest competitor seems to be the current Hyundai Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz is more powerful than the Maverick in terms of horsepower and torque. However, it may lag a little behind the market as it does not offer hybrid support. Although the Maverick is Ford’s smallest pick-up model, it also draws attention with its larger dimensions than Santa Cruz. At the same time, the new compact model is shorter than its top model Ranger. It’s 28 centimeters shorter and 8 centimeters lower.
With the Maverick model, Ford aims to be the most affordable hybrid pick-up manufacturer in the automobile market. Thanks to the hybrid support available in the 2.0-liter engine option that produces 193 horsepower, the Maverick consumes only 6 liters of fuel at a range of 1100 kilometers. In the other option, drivers encounter Ford’s favorite 2.5-liter EcoBoost engine. This engine option includes an 8-speed gearbox, and the Maverick produces 253 horsepower and consumes 10 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers.
Many technological features are included in the standard equipment package
Ford Maverick’s features are not limited to being compact and powerful. Maverick offers its buyers an 8-inch multimedia screen with Apple Car Play and Android Auto support in its standard equipment package. At the same time, Ford Co-Pilot360 technology, which includes features such as emergency braking, post-collision braking, automatic and high beams, is also in the same equipment package.
Ford Maverick, which has a loading capacity of 680 kilograms, has a towing power of 900 kilograms. Of course, this power can be increased with the optional package. Ford has also offered the Maverick an optional terrain package called FX4, which offers features such as underbody guards, off-road tires and hill descent support for off-road enthusiast drivers.
One of the most striking features of the Ford Maverick, which can be used both in the city and on the field, thanks to its plain design, is its extremely affordable price. Ford Maverick, which is expected to be released in the coming autumn months and is not known whether it will be sold anywhere outside the USA, will have prices starting at $ 19,995.
